Healthy Times Ahead I surprise myself at age 38 that I am still willing to do things that cause me harm. When faced with choices, healthy and unhealthy, I will choose the unhealthy path a significant percentage of the time. Recently I began to feel a bit down on myself for not employing healthier habits more of the time. This morning, however, a redeeming thought entered my awareness. I asked myself the question, “Am I headed in the right direction?” In other words, in general am I doing OK? Am I making progress, even if it is “two steps forward, one step back?” The answer is a resounding “yes”. My goals are in tact. I am making progress despite momentary lapses in resolve. This is why I am so grateful to be a part of Healthy Times. I benefit by leaning on the knowledge, success and inspiration of others who share a similar vision of health and wellness. I learn something from our advertisers and columnists in every issue. I hear health inspiring stories from readers. It helps me recommit to my own health and for this I am grateful.
