Healthy Greens: Are you getting yours?
By Kathy Cox
The Standard American Diet (S.A.D.) dilemma: Ninety-one percent of Americans are not eating the recommended five to nine servings of fruits and vegetables per day, according to the latest statistics from the U.S. Department of Agriculture.
What is it about greens we dislike most? Are you including your essential servings of broccoli, spinach or squash with your meals? If not, you may not be supplying your body with enough nutrition to keep you healthy.
You see them everywhere. Visit your local health food store and you will find yourself surrounded by the many products now available in green drinks. But which one do you choose?
The human body depends on supplies of energy for life, vitality and health. These sources of energy come primarily from the foods we eat. We know that without quality foods our health declines and disease rises. Food provides essential nutrients and an intricate web of synergistic, beneficial compounds.
Research is pointing a finger at the S.A.D. for a countless range of medical conditions. The health implications are staggering based on the numbers of Americans who suffer from diabetes, high blood pressure and heart disease. The S.A.D. consists of fiberless carbohydrates and poor quality, unnatural fats and refined proteins. It is calorie excessive but deficient in a vast array of abundant whole foods containing nutrients.
It is a striking fact: Cultures that eat the reverse of the American diet – plant-based, low in saturated fat and high in complex carbohydrates and fiber – have a lower incidence of cancer and coronary artery disease. The majority of S.A.D. patients are starving – not for calories, but for balanced and complete nutrition.
It’s time for a healthy alternative.
The next best nutritional food option is finding a healthy greens mix that you can easily use to supplement your diet every day. The growing interest in consumer demand for healthy greens is the reason for the success of several companies offering a healthy, organic, whole food supplement.
Innate Response Formulas has a solution. It had to be certified organic, great tasting and nutritionally complete. Innate Response Clinical Multi-Care Greens provides certified organic fruits, vegetables and botanicals designed to provide a healthy complete solution.
This product was the first green food designed to compensate for the nutritional deficits of the S.A.D. and also the first gender-specific green-food formula to be certified organic. Innate’s low- glycemic greens provide antioxidants, a synergistic digestive blend of probiotics, a nutrient-rich plant-based omega protein source and soluble and insoluble fiber for weight management. Renewal Multi-Care Greens are gently dried at moderate temperatures to allow the whole foods they contain to retain their exceptional nutrient level.
If you prefer your greens left on your plate, a healthy alternative may be your answer for improved nutrition. For more information about this product and how to be naturally healthy, visit us at www.wholelivingnaturals.com, e-mail us at info@wholelivingnaturals.com or call us at (951) 485-8479.
