Calm the Mind: Control YOU

Meditation has been practiced by many cultures throughout the centuries. The Egyptians, the Aztecs, the Mayans, have all had sacred beliefs with the great spirit and within every religion there are a practices to connect with that higher power through methods such as meditation. In the last half century meditation has gained substantial attention in the Western world.

Meditation is the practice of bringing an open and receptive awareness of the present moment into your body mind and soul at the same time to create an alignment with the rhythm of nature and the universe. Meditation can create a great closeness with ones concept of God. Instead of thinking of the past or worrying about the future. training your mind to be in the moment and learning to trust your self in that space has profound affects on the physiological and the psychological states of the human essence and being.

There are many benefits of learning to meditate. Medical studies have shown that practicing meditation on a regular basis can lower blood pressure, stress, anxiety, and has the capacity to release pain within the body.  The Berkeley Psychic Institute has worked with medical clinical studies that show that meditation can be used to improve clarity of mind and relieve hypertension. Meditation stress management is very affective and simple. Just five minutes a day can have profound effects. Learning basic breathing exercises is the first step. Try it yourself: sit quietly for a few minutes in a comfortable space and breath in a rhythm. Close your eyes and breath in and out and be still and know thyself. Intend to breath in and out with gratitude, picturing the things that you are grateful for. It feels good.

Becoming aligned with your mind and your body and your spirit can make ones life very exciting and provide a different outlook on circumstances occurring within life. Learning to become the cause in your life instead of the effect to outside influences is a very positive way to live. Learning conscious tools for every day living is very possible and attainable even with five minutes a day. So take a chance, and if your life has room for even minor improvement learn something new, and take charge. Show up for YOU in your space and stop letting the outside world determine how you will live. Learn to breath and some simple conscious tools for everyday living and tune into your show. Begin to see results and stop being ordinary. Begin to live Extraordinary. Be in the now. You can't control everything in your life...... but you can control YOU.
