Integrating the left/logical brain into your meditation Those who have practiced meditation may wonder… “Why should I involve the left brain, the logical, thinking brain I try to leave behind?” And for the left-brain dominant person, you may say to yourself…”Alright it’s now time to investigate this article because meditation might make sense to me.” Basically, once we begin to relax the physical body, our meditative experiences are centered in the right hemisphere of our brain which deals with emotions, feelings of unconditional love, and intuition. When we come out of a meditation, we feel the inner peace and perceive insights. But after a while, we begin to doubt our intuitive experiences and the inner peace just disappears the minute we run into a challenge. Why is that? What is happening? When the left brain has not been involved in our spiritual experience, it does not know how to process the new information. The logical brain begins to doubt and will finally override the peaceful experience altogether. How can we get both brain hemispheres to cooperate and work together in harmony, so that our Light remains to illuminate? Answer…The Chakra system, the sacred geometry, and the Fibonacci mathematical sequence are the keys. The Chakra system....Chakra is a Sanskrit word meaning wheel. We all have many Chakras or energy centers with the seven major chakras located in a vertical line beginning from the base of the spine to the top of head. In his book, “Vibrational Medicine”, Dr. Richard Gerber, M.D. defines chakra as “a step-down transformer for higher frequency subtle energies. The chakras process subtle energy and convert it into chemical, hormonal, and cellular changes in the body”. All things seek balance… meditation brings balance to our mind-body and soul. Begin with balanced chakras (start from the first chakra and go up); we can possibly tune down (not turn off) our physical body, emotions, and busy thoughts; so that we can open the heart to seek the light and the truth. Our heart is the doorway to compassion, intuition, and spirituality. Then, in the moment of silence, we experience the inner peace and come to know our Divinity. When we come out from the meditation, both sides of the brain remain connected by converting the spiritual energy back into physical reality (begin from the seventh chakra and go down). I affirm/ create my reality in this process. If you are going to give this a try, make sure your affirmation or creation includes visualization and feelings. The Foundation of meditation is our breath which contains the Life Force (Pneuma, Prana, and Chi/Ki). I utilize the spherical breathing by taking in the Life Force through the top of head and also through the feet when standing, or through the perineum when sitting. The Heaven and Earth energy meet at the heart then resonate out through my hands to connect with a sphere of light/color energy in and around my body. A star tetrahedron of feminine and masculine energy is inscribed in this sphere of sacred geometry.
The Sacred Geometry, the timeless geometric codes, includes the “Platonic solids”. They are the five manifestation of subtle energy or Life Force: Tetrahedron, Hexahedron, Octahedron, Dodecahedron, and Icosahedron. These three dimensional solids must have equal edges, only be one surface and one angle, and all the points fit on the surface of a sphere. For example: the tetrahedron has four equal triangular faces, four equal corners and six equal edges. A star tetrahedron is created by two interlocking tetrahedrons, the feminine/yin energy points downward and the masculine/yang energy points upward. It is also known as a symbol of the Melchizedeks. Yin and Yang are the polar opposite of the Life Force. From the top view, the yin tetrahedron rotates 21 cycles clockwise while the yang tetrahedron rotates 34 cycles counterclockwise. Number 21 and 34 are part of the Fibonacci sequence and 34 divided by 21 produces a Golden Mean Ratio. The Fibonacci Sequence, named after a 13th century mathematician, is a number sequence that produces a Golden Mean Ratio or Phi. Each number is the sum of two previous numbers: 0,1,1,2,3,5,8,13,21,34,55,89,144…… Dividing each number in the series by the one before it produces a ratio that stabilizes at 1.61803398874989….. The digits of this ratio go on to infinity without any repeating pattern. The Fibonacci sequence and the golden ratio can be found in nature, music, and our body.
