Why 96% of the US Population Dies of a Disease

We as humans don’t actually get sick and acquire diseases – our cells do.  Cells are made up of atoms and when healthy, replicate and keep the body well and disease free.  Cells get sick when they are under attack from free radicals, which are unstable molecules that damage our DNA.  Chemicals, pesticides, air pollution, water pollution, medications, fatty foods, excess exercise and stress are all factors that raise free radical levels.  It is estimated that the average person’s cells take about ten thousand hits per day from free radicals.  Basically, if you live, breathe and eat on this planet, there’s no avoiding free radical damage.

Scientists now believe that free radical damage is a major factor in every known disease.  Furthermore, free radicals are a huge culprit in the aging process itself.  We are exposed to far more toxins, pollution and oxidative stress than our parents and grandparents were and to make matters worse, the nutritional value of the food we eat today is much, much lower than in their day.  With our fast paced lifestyles, we are caught in a cycle of consuming nutrient-depleted foods and not filling the gaps with the appropriate supplements.

Most of us now realize and scientific information is piling up about the benefits of nutritional supplementation for combating these challenges in order to avoid and prevent illness and disease.  However, many good-intentioned but uninformed consumers waste their money, time and health on supplements that are neither beneficial nor effective.  For example, most pills and capsules absorb into the body at only a maximum rate of 25% and many sit undissolved in the colon until they are eliminated.  It’s interesting (and disgusting) to note that the most common solid substance found in waste water are pills in their intact form.

Liquid vitamin and mineral supplements are clinically proven to absorb at a
90 – 98 percent rate and can be easily ingested by everyone.  Given the proper blend of nutrients, our bodies are able to maintain optimum health or restore not so optimum health.  Choosing a product that contains a high quality full spectrum vitamin blend with plant sourced, ionic minerals (for vitamins to do their job, they require minerals) along with antioxidants that specifically target free radical damage can be a winning combination.

In closing, nutritional supplementation should not be considered a “one bullet fix”, rather an important component of a defensive strategy we should employ to maintain or achieve the best health possible for ourselves and our children.  High quality, bioavailable (absorbs into bloodstream) nutritional supplementation is essential to avoiding and preventing illness and disease in people of all ages. It can and should be used as a relatively inexpensive insurance policy to help protect our precious cells against the challenges we face in our modern day world.
